Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca has the most striking and original photography. I’m not too familiar with Hitchcock, but the slow shots in the dark with rays of light and heavy shadows is beautiful. Cinema can’t be made like this anymore.

“Couldn’t an exciting film be made from the map of Paris? From the unfolding of its various aspects in temporal succession? From the compression of a centuries-long movement of streets, boulevards, arcades, and squares into the space of half an hour? And does the flâneur do anything different?” I would say this describes my experience of living in Paris for about 2 years....

Wow, this is one of the worst car and bike crashes I have ever read about - 7 dead! Note that I didn’t say accident. This is not an accident. A motorist doesn’t accidentally speed around winding country roads and not pay attention to a group of cyclists. Be careful!
